Will the success of the Olympic Games be a springboard for Boris Johnson and his party leadership aspirations?

He didn't secure the Olympics for London yet the public closely associates him with the event.

He has instant name recognition and some polls suggest that if he became Tory leader his party would be neck and neck with Labour.
