Boris Johnson: 'Olympic village is swanky'


Mayor of London Boris Johnson has sung the praises of the athletes village at Olympic Park which he said was "the greatest Olympics village ever built".

Team GB athletes have been welcomed to the athletes village. Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg said "stress needs to be lifted off the shoulders of athletes as they prepare".

The £712m athletes' village covers 36 hectares and has 2,818 apartments in 11 separate plots.
