Downpours in China leave at least 37 dead

Help

At least 37 people have been killed in the heaviest rains in Beijing in more than 60 years.

Elsewhere in China, six people were killed by rain-triggered landslides in Sichuan province while four were swept away by a rain-swollen river in Shanxi province.

And China is bracing itself for even more downpours over the coming hours.

Susana Mendonca reports.
