Sun journalist arrested in computer hacking probe

A Sun journalist has been arrested by police investigating alleged computer hacking.

Scotland Yard said he was held at his north London home by officers from Operation Tuleta on Thursday at about 06:30 BST.

A News International spokeswoman said: "We can confirm a journalist from The Sun was arrested this morning."

He is the seventh person to be arrested as part of Operation Tuleta, which is looking at criminal privacy breaches.

The investigation is running alongside Operation Weeting, into phone hacking, and Operation Elveden, which is looking at corrupt payments by journalists to public officials.

To date, 24 people have been arrested as part of Operation Weeting and 41 as part of Operation Elveden.
