Lords reform: backbenchers threaten to revolt

Around 70 Conservative MPs have signed a letter arguing that the government's proposed radical changes to the House of Lords would undermine the Commons and threaten a constitutional crisis.

On 9 July MPs will vote on the shake up which would see most Lords elected rather than appointed as they are now.

Nick Robinson explains how it is being seen as a big test for the coalition.
