Jamie Oliver runs with Olympic torch

Help

Jamie Oliver has carried the Olympic torch through Newport, Essex, on the 50th day of its journey around the UK.

The celebrity chef braved the rain and waved to cheering crowds as he ran his leg of the relay.

Oliver said he was "really proud" to be carrying the torch through his home county, and added that his wife Jools had been "doing packed lunches" for their day out.
