Swindon: The Opera - not just roundabouts

When thinking of suitable subject matter for an opera, you might choose a passionate love story or historical tragedy, not a town mostly known for being a bit grey and having lots of roundabouts.

But that is exactly what 'Swindon The Opera' is all about and its creators are hoping it can over-turn the town's bad reputation and celebrate its heritage.
