John Simpson on being a dad at 60
John Simpson, 67, re-visits his boyhood home at Dunwich in Suffolk with 83-year-old housebound pensioner Peggy Booth during a BBC documentary about getting old.
He recalls his father's death at the age of 65, and contemplates the effect his own death could have on his six-year-old son, Rafe.
John Simpson, Gloria Hunniford, Lesley Joseph and Tony Robinson explore the lives of British pensioners in When I Get Older on BBC One at 21:00 BST on Wednesday 4 July and Thursday 5 July as part of the BBC's When I'm 1965 season.
