Passengers stranded as floods cause train chaos
The west coast main line connecting Scotland and England has reopened in both directions after being closed twice in 24 hours.
Heavy rain caused flooding and problems with an overhead power line.
Hundreds of people were stuck for up to 15 hours on the Virgin service from London to Glasgow.
On the east coast line, an hourly service between London King's Cross and Edinburgh Waverley has resumed despite earlier warnings it was likely to remain closed until Saturday.
Lorna Gordon reports from Edinburgh.
