Greater Manchester Police say a child has been killed in a large explosion in Oldham which has badly damaged four homes.
One man was pulled from the rubble and airlifted to Wythenshawe Hospital with serious burns.
People were being moved to safety shortly before the explosion, because there had been reports of a gas leak.
Tim Eyre, who was in the area working as a motorcycle mechanic when the explosion happened, explained what happened moments after the blast.
