Child dies and person missing after Oldham house explosion
Police say one child has died and a person is missing following an explosion at a house in the Shaw area of Oldham.
Superintendent Neil Evans from Greater Manchester Police said the child's next of kin had been informed.
He added that fire services were conducting a rescue effort to locate the missing individual, and that another man had been taken to hospital with 80% burns.
