Dave Lee Travis 'wasn't called Hairy Cornflake' by Suu Kyi

The former BBC World Service disc jockey Dave Lee Travis has spoken about his meeting in London with Burmese opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi, who is visiting the UK.

The Nobel Peace Prize Laureate said she listened to his programme, A Jolly Good Show, during her time under house arrest.

Dave Lee Travis said he was pleased to know the show had lifted her spirits, adding that he found her ''just fantastic''.

He said she did not call him by his former nickname of ''the Hairy Cornflake''.
