Trooping the Colour

The Duke of Edinburgh has attended the Trooping the Colour parade with the Queen to celebrate her official birthday, a week after being discharged from hospital.

He and the Queen rode in a vintage carriage from the palace along The Mall to Horse Guards Parade in central London.

More than 1,600 officers and soldiers took part in the traditional display of pomp and pageantry.

The Colour being paraded on Horse Guards this year was the flag of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards.
