Forced marriage to become criminal offence in England and Wales

Forcing someone to marry against their will is to become a criminal offence in England and Wales under proposals expected to be announced by the government.

It is estimated there are between 5,000 and 8,000 victims of forced marriages in England.

But as the BBC's Ed Thomas reports, there are fears that making forced marriage a criminal offence might deter victims from coming forward.
