Lengthy queues at Heathrow Airport passport control
Long queues were persisting at Heathrow Airport passport control on Friday evening, BAA has confirmed.
A spokeswoman said immigration checks at Terminal 5 for EU nationals were taking 40 minutes, and an hour for non-EU citizens.
A Border Force spokesman said: "We will not compromise border security but we aim to keep disruption to a minimum."
This footage shows part of the queue for passport control on Friday evening.
Passenger Leo Lourdes told the BBC about the queue he joined at Heathrow.
