Giant wooden doll puppet wakes up
A giant puppet of a little girl has "woken up" in Liverpool's Stanley Park, to mark the start of a three-day street theatre event in the city.
The giant girl, who is accompanied by her dog Xolo, was "woken" by young musicians from Liverpool Philharmonic's In Harmony project at the start of the event.
Dozens of people tugged on ropes to move the puppet's body so that she could wake up, have a shower, get changed, wear shoes and head off on a walk with her dog.
The event called Sea Odyessy is based around the girl's uncle travelling to the Titanic wreck to bury his brother and retrieve mail from the ship.
