Mr Ahmad, who has been held in prison pending extradition since 2004, is accused of running extremist websites and fundraising for terrorism. He has never been charged or faced trial in this country and denies any wrongdoing.

Here, in an exclusive interview for BBC News, he calls on the Crown Prosecution Service to put him on trial in the UK.

You can find out more about this story and watch the full interview on Newsnight at 2230BST on Thursday 5 April 2012 on BBC Two, then afterwards on the BBC iPlayer.
