Bomb squad moves V2 rocket fragment in Harwich
Bomb disposal teams have recovered a section of a German V2 rocket from World War II buried in the mudflats at Harwich Harbour.
Royal Navy divers dug out the casing to discover the warhead section was missing, meaning there was no safety risk.
A witness said they remembered a V2 rocket exploding over the port in 1944.
The discovery of the rocket was reported to Essex Police by a sailing club.
