Torchbearers' joy at 2012 Olympics relay task
The names of the majority of the 8,000 people who will carry the Olympic torch on its 8,000 mile journey have also been confirmed by Games organisers Locog.
The Olympic flame arrives in the UK on 18 May and begins its 70-day journey at Land's End on the morning of 19 May.
Former Olympic athlete Jonathan Edwards - who won gold at the Sydney Olympics in 2000 - spoke to BBC Breakfast, along with Rhyania Blackett-Codrington and Eric Smith, who have been chosen as torchbearers.
