Driving while using a smartphone tested
A study on the use of smartphones while driving suggests that using the devices while in charge of a motor vehicle can be as dangerous as drink- or drug-driving.
Like using a hand-held mobile phone, using a smartphone while driving is illegal - but that does not stop many people from trying.
Brian Milligan visited the Transport Research Laboratory in Berkshire to find out what effect using a smartphone had on his driving.
