Schmallenberg virus 'threatens lambing season'
Farmers have been warning that this spring's lambing season could see thousands of stillborn or deformed births because of a new virus.
More than 70 farms have so far been affected by the Schmallenberg virus, which appears to have been carried by midges coming in from Germany.
