23 February 2012 Last updated at 09:10 GMT

MPs are to debate measures to protect cyclists, after the number killed on the roads last year rose by 7%.

On Wednesday, David Cameron said that taking to the road on a bike can be like taking your life in your hands.

Cyclists have staged a ride out in Central London to try and encourage MPs to attend the debate.

The BBC's Anna Holligan reports.
