Sugar says HMRC have 'egg on their face' over Redknapp

8 February 2012 Last updated at 17:20 GMT

Harry Redknapp has been found not guilty of tax evasion.

The Tottenham Hotspur manager and his former chairman at Portsmouth, Milan Mandaric, have been cleared of all charges at Southwark Crown Court.

Both men had denied any wrongdoing over the payment of £189,000 into a Monaco bank account.

The investigation that led to the trial took five years and cost £8m. HM Revenue and Customs said it accepts the verdict and had "no regrets" about pursuing the case.

Former Spurs chairman Lord Sugar spoke to Radio 5 live's Richard Bacon.
