Elderly 'must take the cold weather seriously'
With heavy snow being forecast to hit Britain over the weekend, the elderly are being advised to keep warm.
Mervyn Kohler, special adviser for Age UK, said that the older generation "must take the cold weather seriously".
He advised: "Don't go out if you can avoid it. It is important that people safeguard their health in circumstances like this."
