Woman stalked by her ex-boyfriend posing as another online

Help

A woman whose ex-boyfriend pretended to be another person online has told Radio 5 live that there should be tougher penalties for stalking.

Amy Lees said that after splitting up with her boyfriend Khalid Hussain, a man called Simon Barr befriended her on Facebook. After a few weeks, they exchanged phone numbers and at that point Barr started "badgering" her for a photo of her in her underwear.

Barr turned out to be Hussain, and he was jailed for two years and nine months after pleading guilty to harassing Ms Lees.

She told Victoria Derbyshire how the problems started.
