Man beaten unconscious sees attackers walk free from court

Help

A man who was kicked unconscious after he intervened to stop three men vandalising bins, has spoken of his anger as his attackers were spared jail.

They received non-custodial sentences despite the fact that Joseph O'Reilly spent weeks in hospital after the attack in Manchester a year ago.

The pair were seen celebrating after the sentencing.

Judith Moritz reports.
