PCC 'hated our guts' - Richard Desmond tells Leveson
Publishing mogul Richard Desmond has accused the Press Complaints Commission (PCC) of being a "useless organisation... run by people who want to destroy us".
The founder and owner of Northern & Shell, which owns several newspapers including the Daily Express, said that his group withdrew from the PCC when it vilified Peter Hill (former editor of the Daily Express) and Express Newspapers.
He was giving evidence to the Leveson Inquiry into press standards.
