Government announces judicial inquiry into Lawrence case


The Home Secretary Jack Straw ordered a full judicial inquiry into the death of Stephen Lawrence.

It would be chaired by Sir William Macpherson and aimed to identify lessons for police in dealing with racially motivated crimes.
