Winter driving: Do you have the essentials in your car?
Last December was the coldest on record with hundreds of drivers stuck overnight on roads and motorways because of snow.
Many motorists were not prepared for such long delays, so this year the Red Cross is warning everyone to put a bag of essentials in the car - including emergency phone numbers, a torch and even a copy of your birth certificate.
The BBC's Richard Westcott has been finding out just how many drivers can tick off the items on the list.
