Fruit flourishes in mild UK autumn


Ripening fruits are usually a sign of the British summer, but recent mild weather means that they are being observed in November.

The Met Office says it is likely to be one of the warmest autumns on record, but there are concerns that the unseasonably dry conditions could have impact on water supplies in 2012.
