Are we losing the fight against superbugs?
Antibiotics have revolutionised medical care in the last 80 years and are now a core part of our armour against bacterial infection.
However, in recent years the bugs have gained the upper hand. Scientists now warn that if new antibiotics are not developed in the next decade we will see widespread antibiotic-resistant bacteria.
