UK border force head suspended
The head of the UK Border Force has been suspended after allegations he ordered security checks at airports and ports to be scaled back during the summer.
It is claimed Brodie Clark authorised staff not to scan biometric passports, which contain a digital image of the holder's face as well as the standard photo to help prevent forgeries.
Home Secretary Theresa May's reaction to the developments was reportedly "incredulity and fury".
Carole Walker reports.
