The flame will be taken to local community groups and key locations in the city as part of the Paralympic Flame Festival. Almost 4,200 Paralympians will be taking part in the 2012 Games.

The flame will be taken to local community groups and key locations in the city as part of the Paralympic Flame Festival. The first Paralympic Torch Relay took place at the Seoul 1988 Paralympic Games.
Edinburgh, 26 August
The flame will be taken to local community groups and key locations in the city as part of the Paralympic Flame Festival. Competitors from 150 nations will be taking part in 20 sports at the Games.
Stoke Mandeville, 28 August
A special ceremony at Stoke Mandeville - where the precursor to the Paralympic Games was first held in 1948 - will bring together flames from the four cities. Later a 24-hour torch relay will take the torch to London.
London, 24 and 29 August
The Paralympic Flame Festivals will start in London on 24 August. After a final ceremony at Stoke Mandeville on 28 August, 580 torchbearers will carry the flame back to London for the opening ceremony on 29 August.
