Child born as a boy returns to school as a girl

Help

A 10-year-old who was born a boy has taken the decision over the summer to return to school this year as a girl.

The child was diagnosed with gender dysphoria, a rare condition where a person feels they are trapped in the wrong body.

Here 'Livvy' and her mother 'Saffron' told Radio 5 live's Shelagh Fogarty that they were glad to no longer be living a lie. Their names have been changed to protect their identity.
