London's Notting Hill Carnival draws to a close

Help

The second day of London's Notting Hill Carnival has been held with record numbers of police officers on duty.

More than 6,500 police officers patrolled the streets in an effort to prevent trouble in the wake of riots in London earlier this month.

London Mayor Boris Johnson attended the event and said it had been important to ensure the carnival went ahead, despite concerns after the riots.
