Potholes redefined in new measure by Highways Agency
The Highways Agency has redefined what it means by potholes. One that is judged to be smaller than a soup bowl will not have to be filled in immediately.
Contractors previously had to ensure roads were patched up within 24 hours of reporting a pothole.
Radio 5 live's Shelagh Fogarty gets more information from the Highway Agency's Graham Bowskill, Rick Hulse, the head of the National Association of Bikers with a Disability and Gary Seddon, a motorcyclist who injured his back after an accident involving a pothole.

Shelagh Fogarty broadcasts weekdays between 1200 and 1400 on BBC Radio 5 live.
