The speaking clock turns 75 years old

Help

Now part of Britain's heritage, the speaking clock was the first of the pre-recorded information services in the UK provided through telephones.

Jane Cain was the first voice in 1936 and Sara Mendes Da Costa has been the current voice since 2007. She is only the fourth person to have the role after Brian Cobby retired in 2007, having done it for 22 years.

Mrs Da Costa tells Radio 5 live Breakfast about her highlights so far.
