RNAS Yeovilton air day highlights

Help

Among the highlights of this year's air day at RNAS Yeovilton was a celebration of the Lynx helicopter, 40 years since its first flight.

More than 35,000 people were expected at the Royal Naval Air Station for the event, which also included a restored Vulcan XH558 bomber, flown in from Lincolnshire's RAF Waddington.

Both the Navy and Army versions of the Lynx flew at the show, along with RAF, European air force and civilian planes.
