Hugh Grant: No confidence in News of the World
Hugh Grant has said that he has no confidence in News International taking action against those who may be responsible for the alleged hacking of the phone of Milly Dowler.
It is claimed a private investigator working for the News of the World (NoW) hacked into the voicemail of the murdered girl while she was missing.
The actor, who has long said that his phone was hacked by the NoW, said that the editors in charge of the paper at the time of the allegations were either incompetent, or not telling the truth.
The chief executive of the News International media group, Rebekah Brooks, says she's shocked and appalled by the hacking allegations. Mrs Brooks, the paper's editor at the time, promised the strongest possible action if the case was proven.
