Beccy Pert is organising a Cardiff 'slutwalk' protest

A new protest movement called 'slutwalking' is coming to the UK.

Prompted by a policeman's remarks in Canada about the way young women dress, the marches are a statement of female empowerment.

Beccy Pert is helping to organise a Cardiff walk. She told BBC Radio 5 live: "People think it's OK to make excuses for attackers."

"It doesn't matter how short your dress is or how much cleavage is on show," Pert explained to Nicky Campbell and Rachel Burden on 5 live Breakfast.

"Nobody deserves to be attacked."
