Police launch crime level maps online
A new police service mapping crime levels throughout England and Wales has been been launched online.
People will be able to see how many burglaries have taken place in their neighbourhood or how many cars have been damaged or stolen.
Ministers hope it will give residents a more informed view about crime levels but as Mark Easton reports there are concerns that police priorities could become distorted.
