The farm lying in the path of the new rail route
The Transport Secretary, Philip Hammond, has defended plans to build a high-speed rail link between London and Birmingham.
The final route will be confirmed this afternoon and has sparked controversy because it would carve through many Conservative constituencies.
Local resident groups are also unhappy and promising strong opposition.
