Protesters storm Lewisham town hall

Help

Riot police were called to Lewisham town hall in south London after protesters forced their way inside.

The Metropolitan Police said initially there was a small rally outside the building at about 1730 GMT, but it swelled to more than 100 people.

Some of the protesters managed to enter the building and officers in riot gear were sent to disperse them.

The following footage by political blogger Kate Belgrave (exterior pictures) and Samuel Stewart (interior pictures), shows how the situation developed.
