Michael Owen says he is happy that Wayne Rooney has decided to stay with Manchester United.

Speaking to BBC Radio 5 live's Victoria Derbyshire, the striker says that Rooney's comments about the club had had no impact on the players.

Rooney had released a statement last week just before the champions league game against Bursapor saying he did not have any assurances the club would be able to continue to attract top players in the world.
