MI5 chief's terror attack warning

Help

The UK faces a continued serious risk of a lethal terrorist attack taking place, the head of MI5 has warned.

Jonathan Evans says a large number of soon-to-be-freed prison inmates are "committed extremists and likely to return to terrorist activities".

He also said there was a growing threat from Somalia and Yemen, and that the growth of dissident republicanism in Northern Ireland was also a concern.

Gordon Corera reports.
