David Cameron returned to work today, warning his cabinet of the "significant challenges" in the weeks ahead.

As ministers make their final decisions on where the axe should fall in next month's Spending Review, they say they want members of the public to give them their views

The BBC's Nick Robinson is taking the public's opinion along the length of Britain's longest road, the A1, travelling from North to South.

In Grantham he asked people whether they trust the coalition to make the right cuts.
