Churchill's teeth sell for thousands

Help

A set of gold-plated false teeth, once worn by Winston Churchill, has been sold at auction for £15,200 pounds, three times the guide price.

The teeth were said to have been specially made to preserve the distinctive sound of his voice.

They were sold by the Nigel Cudlipp, the son of the man who made them.

He said Churchill used to vent his frustration when the 1939-45 war was not going well by flicking the dentures out of his mouth.
