Show us your shorts - we want your micro videos

Watch this micro video to find out how to submit yours

How creative could you be with just 30 seconds of recording time to play with?

BBC Newsnight is running a project from Monday 2 to Friday 6 September to find out just that, and we need your help.

We want you to send us your micro videos - short form videos usually shot on mobiles or tablets.

Your bite-sized shorts can be up to a maximum of 30 seconds long and on any subject - funny, sad, thoughtful or ludicrous - we don't mind as long as they're interesting.

Some of our favourites will be broadcast on the programme and showcased on the website.

So, to remind you of the criteria, your videos should be:

• No longer than 30 seconds

• On any subject

• Uploaded or emailed to us between Monday 2 and Friday 6 September

You can either upload your videos here - please be sure to mark them Shorts in the subject field of the form.

Or, if you are making your film with Vine you can email us a link to it at - please be sure to mark your email Shorts in the subject field.

Read the terms and conditions.
