Aireal: Disney shows off tactile air device

25 July 2013 Last updated at 13:55 BST

Disney is experimenting with air flow in bid to make gaming experiences more tactile.

Dubbed Aireal, the technology will allow users to feel physical feedback without having to wear gloves, belts or vests.

Puffs of compressed air rings blown towards the skin at different strengths and speeds will simulate a range of tactile experiences, inventors say.

It is the latest innovation in haptic - or tactile - technology.
