Technology innovation festivals have become common in Germany and in the US in the last 10 years.

Now the idea is growing in popularity in the UK as well.

To innovate, people "need a place to tinker and to show other people what they've made," says Jonty Wareing, co-organiser of the ElectroMagnetic Wave festival.

LJ Rich visits the technology festival on board a German boat to discover what all the fuss is about.
